Volunteering at Food Lifeline

Have you ever shown up to volunteer, and they’re not really sure what to do with you and it’s super awkward? Food Lifeline is not like that. Instead, it’s smooth and efficient, and you’re busy the entire time. Minimum age to volunteer is 10, and there’s no maximum age.

So many banana boxes. The food comes in ginormous vats and we sort and repack them into 40-pound boxes to go out to food banks in western Washington.
We scooped and measured out 2-pound bags of macaroni.
Paul found this funny shaped potato. Food that’s not “pretty” enough to be sold doesn’t mean you can’t eat it.
Think of all the pasta-bilities…
