Parking strip in Seattle planted with stachys, rockrose and lavender, all good drought-tolerant plants.
Lavender is an example of a good drought-tolerant plant.
Anne Harai, a gardener with Fauntleroy Gardening Co., works in a client’s garden.
Austin Thomas with Fauntleroy Gardening Co. weeds next to rockrose plants.
The owner of Wunderland Turf Works replaced the grass in his parking strip with a putt-putt course. He leaves clubs and balls out for anyone swinging by to use.
