Kura conveyer belt sushi
I hadn’t had conveyer belt sushi since Sushiland left LQA. Kura Sushi in Bellevue was a bit pricey but fun, and a robot brings drinks! Plus there’s a Target upstairs.

Blueberry picking
Blueberry picking season. I like the idea of showing kids where food comes, i.e. not in wrapped in plastic in a refrigerated case, but only if doesn’t involve bending, there are no thorns and it’s nearby (Bellevue).

Staying at One Lakeside, Coeur d’Alene
Our first time in Coeur d’Alene and we agreed, it’s even better than Seabrook! A last-minute cancellation meant we got a surprise upgrade to a 3-bedroom unit at One Lakeside. Poke in the Eye at the Seattle Art Museum
I went in search of AC, and found a relief and a fun exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum. There’s a toilet in the gallery!? They have old school rotary dial telephones throughout the exhibit for kids to listen to. The art is colorful and playful. Bonus: Kids under 14 are free at SAM.

Tamale road trip
We went in search of the famous Los Hernandez. This tiny place in the desert in central Washington won a 2018 James Beard Award. The tamales were delish and the people couldn’t have been nicer.
