Sooo glad we sprang for the house with a big yard instead of a townhouse, especially when it’s covered in cherry blossoms like this.   .

Same spot, different light. The pocket beach on Perkins Lane was so good we went again today at sunset. . . . . .

We spent the last two years driving to Queen Anne every day so I never really did explore Magnolia. Today I got a mom tip about this public pocket beach on a windy narrow dead end road. So quiet and beautiful.   . . . .  

Instead of doing more homework, it was sooo nice out we just decided to hang out in the front yard. Paul really loves drawing with chalk. He made these little people by himself no help at all. He’s meticulously organized, very bossy and loves all things crafty. Hmmm… remind you of anyone?   .

When I was 4, my uncle used to mail pork floss care packages from Taiwan. (Not something you could buy in rural Washington in the ’80s.) Now there’s no elastic to be found in Seattle, so my uncle sent these face masks from Taiwan. I’m almost 40 and my uncle is still taking care of…

Just sunshine and rainbows here in Magnolia! Another creation by the nice mom who puts these balloons outside her house and invites everyone to come by. . These guys haven’t left the island since March 12. We caught a glimpse of another neighborhood. Someday…

Easter egg hunt in our backyard this year, which yielded way more eggs per kid than we’ve ever gotten in all the years at the community center combined. . Easter treats — my kids know they are required to take some pictures before we can eat it. Sadly they looked way better than they tasted.…
