We went to see WildLanterns at the zoo and it was so much fun! The show opened today and runs through Jan. 22.

Out and about in Lower Manhattan. Surprisingly lots for kids to do: carousel, playground and pizza of course.

Staten Island Ferry
Foggy morning free cruise for views of the Statue of Liberty. The Staten Island Ferry runs 24/7, and the price is right!

Little Island
We had the best time seeing Little Island and the High Line. Little Island gives off Olympic Sculpture Park vibes — really gorgeous and creative use of space.

Empire State Building
We got SO LUCKY and caught the perfect window on an otherwise foggy day to go up the Empire State Building. I shelled out extra to see the 102nd floor too, just before the fog rolled back in. When we got down to street level, we saw a line wrapped around the block of people…

Museum of Math
So many niche museums, just find the one to fit your particular interests. The National Museum of Math (one block north of the Flatiron) was fun… but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to see it. A lot of the tech was glitchy and frustrating.
