The Barnes and Noble summer reading club is really generous. You read 8 books, list them on the back of the sheet, then you get to go pick a free book off this display. For grades 1-6, through August 31. There is no shame in being incentivized to read.

The most subdued First Thursday at SAM I’ve ever seen. Not a ton to see right now: the American/Northwest Native/Aboriginal Australian galleries are are closed for renovation. Giacometti opens next week.

A bowl of pho is now… $18!!? I hadn’t had gotten pho in forever, and was shocked by the price increase. No cream puffs anymore, either. Oh, inflation.
