    Same spot, different light. The pocket beach on Perkins Lane was so good we went again today at sunset. . . . . .

    We spent the last two years driving to Queen Anne every day so I never really did explore Magnolia. Today I got a mom tip about this public pocket beach on a windy narrow dead end road. So quiet and beautiful.   . . . .  

  • Chalk art

    Instead of doing more homework, it was sooo nice out we just decided to hang out in the front yard. Paul really loves drawing with chalk. He made these little people by himself no help at all. He’s meticulously organized, very bossy and loves all things crafty. Hmmm… remind you of anyone?   .

    When I was 4, my uncle used to mail pork floss care packages from Taiwan. (Not something you could buy in rural Washington in the ’80s.) Now there’s no elastic to be found in Seattle, so my uncle sent these face masks from Taiwan. I’m almost 40 and my uncle is still taking care of…
