Rare ‘Christmas’ Star in December sky

This is cool! Easy backyard astronomy in the city. Jupiter and Saturn are very clear every night through the month of December, and will hit their closest alignment in 800 years on the 21st.

This very bright light is what some people think is the "Star of Bethlehem" that the shepherds saw in the Nativity story.
