ID food walk

We used the occasion of Paul's half birthday as an excuse to go on a (junk) food walk in the ID. Some new-ish places, some new to me: Chung chun rice dogs, Milkie Milkie bingsu, Taiwan Professional Tea milk tea and a crunchy cream from Fuji Bakery (which we ate at home because we were so sugared out. Even me, which is saying a lot).

Chung Chun rice dog: Joseph got the half cheese, half sausage, Paul's is coated with potato chunks, both are heavy sprinkled with sugar. I mean, how could you go wrong?
Taiwan Professional Tea just opened in August, kind of unfortunate timing, but there was still a line out the door around the block. I always take that to be a good sign. (We're enjoying our milk tea across the street, in front of Jade Garden.)
We split a kids' size bingsu three ways, and it still nearly defeated us.
It's a cream-filled doughnut topped with corn flakes and generously sugared. I'd been curious about it ever since writing this story for Resy.

  1. I was so impressed by all the murals in the ID when we visited last week! The kids weren’t as excited as me, but a treat from Fuji kept them going sliiiiiiightly longer than expected.
